Yasutora Sado, Chad was originally born in Okinawa, Japan, but was taken to Mexico by his parents at a young age. After the death of his parents, Chad was adopted by Oscar Joaquin de la Rosa, a man whom he greets as grandfather.
Giving his advantage in size, Chad was an extremely violent person during his younger days, beating up any children who annoyed him. Oscar Joaquin tried to disciple Chad, however, to no avail. On a very day, the fathers of the children Chad beaten up, planning to punish him, attacked Chad. Oscar Joaquin stepped in between them, shielding and taking Chad’s punishment without retaliation. Chad was inspired by his grandfather’s actions and become a decent person.
Years later, when Oscar Joaquin had died, Chad made a vow that he would never fight unless it was to protect others. A Mexican coin, given by Oscar Joaquin, symbolized this vow, which Chad hold more value than his own life.
After the death of his grandfather, Chad decided to return to Japan where he entered Mashiba Junior High School and get to know Ichigo Kurosaki. One day, some thugs captured Chad and threatened to destroy his treasured coin. Ichigo stepped in and saved him from them. Since then, they made a pact that would fight for one another.
Alongside Orihime, Chad was trained by Yoruichi in their preparation for the journey towards Soul Society. It was then, Chad realised he possessed ability which he had never expect. The reason Chad went to Soul Society was to assist Ichigo to achieve his goal in saving Rukia. A true friend of Ichigo.

Chad is my favourite person in the whole show. He inspires me (I know sad right) to only fight to protect the people I love
